We (my husband and I) live in Austria in a small village near Vienna called Seebenstein.

It´s a beautiful place surrounded by wide meadows and forests that gives us great oppertunities for taking beautiful walks with our two dogs.

We were talking about having a dog a lond time but we just couldn´t decide which breed it should be until my husband told me about the "African Liondog" that he once met in Germany.

As we informed throughly about this breed we realized that it had to be a Rhodesian Ridgeback.

After we cleared the elementary question "male or female?" the search began for a little Ridgeback boy.

In autumn 2008 we`ve luckily found an amazing male Ridgeback named "Kuffrey" at Ka Ul Li´S- Ridges. My husband immediately contacted the breeder to ask when he`s got next meting. Misses Lichtenauer told us that she still has got a son from Kuffrey which was waiting for a new home. Our day was made!

Since that day on Asad has become our new family member, he really is a true friend and attentive companion. Our fascination for this breed has got so intense that we decided to enlarge our "family" on March 26th, 2010 with another RR-Boy. Banga from Claudia Witz / AGU-KARASI-KENNEL is now the youngest member of GICHINGA-LIONDOGS.

We are very excited about what the future holds for our "dogish" family!!
